VIRACON ANNOUNCES NEW FIELD SALES APPOINTMENTS

Owatonna, Minnesota, USA – May 2004 – Viracon, the leader in glass fabrication, announces several additions to its field sales team. According to Senior Vice President Brad J. Austin, these changes will help Viracon better focus on and execute the strategic initiatives for the current fiscal year and beyond.

Mitch McQueen has joined Viracon as a field sales representative for eastern South Carolina, Georgia, Alabama and northern Florida. He has more than 15 years experience in the glazing industry, holding sales and management positions in the southeastern United States with Kawneer and US Aluminum. McQueen has a Bachelor of Science degree in business administration and marketing from State University of West Georgia.

Bill Zientarski is a new field sales representative for Illinois, and northeastern Indiana. Zientarski has nine years of experience in the glass industry, most recently as account manager for Oldcastle Glass, covering the same territory he will take on with Viracon. He has a Bachelor of Science degree in flight technology and management from Western Michigan and service in the U.S. Air Force from 1986 through 1993.

McQueen and Zientarski will be joining their current territory sales representatives, Mike Winkler and Bob Carlson respectively, expanding coverage and increasing penetration in both areas.

Viracon Field Sales ChangesPaul Homer joins Viracon as field sales representative for Virginia and North Carolina, excluding Charlotte. He has worked in the region for the past four years for Interpane. Homer replaces Mike Willinganz who relocated to Viracon’s main offices in Minnesota.

Cameron Scripture is now the field sales representative for the Mountain States region, replacing Joe Effertz, who was appointed the new international business development manager. Scripture has experience in customer service, technical services and architectural design. His sales territory includes Colorado, Arizona, Montana, New Mexico, Utah and Wyoming.

“Our markets and our industry continue to change at a breathtaking pace. We must continue to change as well. Our success requires a sharp focus on servicing our customers. We are confident the sales department and the entire company are ready to meet this challenge,” Austin said.

These personnel changes are now in effect.
