Project Details

The Gannett/USA Today Headquarters is an almost complete glass structure designed to allow in natural daylight along with energy controlling features. The project includes two striking office towers wrapped in glass curtainwalls which rise from a three-story glass and stone base building. The narrow tower footprint allows maximum natural light into all offices. Viracon's Superwindow insulating glass provides comfort to interior space and is ideal for locations with seasonal climatic variations. The dramatic focal point of the complex is two exterior glass elevator shafts rising the entire height of the towers which are illuminated at night. The glass in these areas incorporates a custom silkscreen patterns to reduce glare. The entrance of the building features a glass canopy leading to an elegant three-story sky lit atrium lobby.
